Dr. Schubert grew up on the Oregon coast where his father was a chiropractic physician for over 30 years. After high school, he served four years in the Naval Air Wing. He then studied human biology at Oregon State University before attending National College of Chiropractic in Chicago where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Schubert returned to Oregon, started his practice in Salem in 1984 and has enjoyed serving the Willamette valley ever since. He married his wife Barbara in 1987 and has three children.
Dr. Schubert uses various techniques in his practice depending on the patients need. He may use manual spinal manipulation and/or Impulse tool adjusting, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, Cox traction, S.O.T. blocking and various soft-tissue massage and stretching techniques. Dr. Schubert encourages his patients to take an active role in their recovery by recommending various home therapies and exercises, and by teaching proper biomechanics and posture. He believes patient knowledge and participation will help his patients not only heal faster and stronger, but avoid future injuries.
When needed Dr. Schubert uses state of the art digital x-ray or MRI imaging. This technology insures the highest quality images which can be computer enhanced for improved diagnostics.
When needed Dr. Schubert uses state of the art digital foot scanning diagnostics to evaluate the feet. Using this data, he has a specialist custom make orthotics to specifically address the patient needs.
Besides neck and back conditions, Dr. Schubert treats headaches, TMJ, tendonitis, bursitis, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot conditions, radiating arm and leg pain or numbness, disc and arthritic conditions. Dr. Schubert offers a complimentary brief history to determine whether your condition is a chiropractic case. If yours is not a chiropractic case, Dr. Schubert will refer you out to the appropriate specialist.
Dr. Schubert is licensed by the state of Oregon to treat worker's compensation injuries without the referral of a medical doctor. He treats automobile injuries, sport related injuries, home injuries chronic or acute and accepts most private insurances.
